Black & White Transportation recently announced a new public-private partnership with the Toledo Police Department (TPD) to implement the Transportation On Patrol (TOP) program. The partnership will enable taxicab drivers to report road hazards, accidents, impaired drivers and other emergencies directly to the TPD.
Black & White Cab is the first operator to start the Transportation On Patrol program in the state of Ohio. Similar programs already exist in other major cities including Denver, Memphis, New York, and Toronto.
Black & White Transportation operates more than 100 vehicles in Toledo and their drivers logged in approximately 2 million miles in 2011.
