Judge Denies Injunction on Minimum Fare for Nashville Limousine Companies

by admin on April 13, 2012

A U.S. District Court judge has recently denied an emergency motion to temporarily block Metro government from enforcing minimum fare regulations which mandate that all Nashville limousine companies charge a minimum fare of atleast $45 per trip.

A small group of 3 Nashville limousine operators including Metro Livery Inc filed a federal lawsuit in April 2011 against the Metropolitan Transportation Licensing Commission (MTLC) and others which challenged the minimum fare requirements.

The emergency motion was filed about 10 weeks after Metro Livery was set up in a sting conducted by the Metropolitan Transportation Licensing Commission (MTLC) over enforcement of the $45 minimum fare rule.
