The Ann Arbor Transportation Authority (AATA) recently launched a new ground transportation service which will provide shuttle service to and from Ann Arbor and the Detroit Metropolitan Airport. The AirRide airport shuttle service is a public-private partnership and is operated by the Michigan Flyer.
The AirRide pubic transit service offers 12 trips daily between Ann Arbor and the DTW Airport.
AirRide standard fares start from $15.00 per person but additional shuttle discounts are offered for advanced reservations, seniors, ADA and for travelers who are 17 years old and younger.
Through the public-private partnership, Indian Trails which owns and operates the MichiganFlyer will retain the first $250,000 of the shuttle fares collected for each year of the contract. The excess revenues will be shared with AATA to offset the cost of the airport shuttle service program.
